Description
FICUS INFECTORIA - WHITE FIG, 10 SEEDS
Ficus Infectoria, also known as the White Fig, is a spectacular plant due to the massive development of its aerial roots. It can reach a considerable size (15-25 meters in height); belonging to the Moraceae family, it is a deciduous tree, with a crown-like crown development. Originally from Bangladesh and widespread in India, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, southwestern China and Indochina. The leaves are shiny green, elongated and pointed. In spring it blooms with a white inflorescence. The fruits form very dense bunches that develop from the branches and twigs. In our climates, the cultivated species generally does not tolerate full sun. It lives in a variable humid environment. In general, the plant should have abundant water supplies in summer and reduced in winter. The substrate should be rich, composed of two parts of leaf mold, one of well-fertilized soil, with the addition of peat and sand to keep it aerated and well-drained. Ficus infectoria needs pots that are not too large, proportionally to the height of the specimen, also because in excessive containers, the soil could easily pile up, suffocating the roots. If cultivated consistently in bonsai style, it can truly become a specimen of great value and aesthetic value. Propagation can occur, in addition to seed, also by layering, cutting or layering.
GERMINATION INSTRUCTIONS

Transplant the seedlings into individual pots when the leaves are well developed.
