Description
FICUS RACEMOSA, 10 SEEDS
Belonging to the Moraceae family, it is a plant popularly known by the English name of Cluster Fig, Fig Tree or Indian Fig. It is a beautiful tree native to the Indian subcontinent, Southeast Asia and Australasia. It reaches 16 meters in height. The leaves (7-10 cm long) are elongated, oval or elliptical in shape, of a beautiful dark green color. The formation of the fruits is very unusual: the figs in fact develop in thick bunches directly from the trunk and the larger branches. They have a pear-shaped shape, similar to that of our classic fig, they are edible and when ripe they take on a beautiful deep red color. These are the favorite fruits of the Indian Common Macaque, a monkey very common in India and the Asian continent. In India, this plant has always been considered sacred. For its development, the soil suitable for Ficus Racemosa is well-drained, sandy and rich in nutrients. It requires a warm-humid temperate climate. In its native continents, this tree is cultivated for landscape purposes, given its beauty. Species that adapts naturally to bonsai education. Species of great charm especially because of the fruit formation, truly suggestive. Indoor bonsai.
