Fish Pepper ( Capsicum annuum ) is an annual variety native to the Atlantic regions of the United States. Its name comes from its traditional pairing with fish and seafood dishes. This plant is distinguished by its variegated white and green foliage and its fruits that ripen from green with white streaks to deep red with yellow or brown streaks. In addition to its ornamental value, Fish Peppers offer a moderate heat (about 5,000-30,000 Scoville units) and a fruity flavor that makes them perfect for sauces, marinades and dressings. The plant reaches a height of 60-90 cm and the growing cycle is about 70-85 days from transplanting.
