This variety, beloved for its bright red and incredibly sweet flesh, is the perfect choice for those who want compact, easy-to-manage watermelons. Ideal for gardens of all sizes and for growing in containers, Sugar Baby Watermelon will give you delicious fruit, perfect for refreshing your summer days. With high germination and certified Non-GMO, these seeds promise a bountiful and wholesome harvest. Characteristics: Compact fruits: Each watermelon weighs an average of 3-5 kg, the perfect size for family consumption and small spaces. Exquisite flesh: Enjoy crisp, juicy, deep red flesh with an exceptionally sweet flavor. Easy to grow: Even suitable for beginners, it requires minimal care once established. Non-GMO: Guaranteed non-genetically modified seeds for natural and healthy cultivation. High germination: Ensures a high success rate in the emergence of seedlings. Dark, thin skin: Easy to cut and handle. Cultivation: Sugar Baby Watermelon thrives in warm, sunny conditions, with well-drained, nutrient-rich soil. Sowing: Sow directly into the ground from late April to June, when night temperatures are consistently above 15°C. Alternatively, you can sow in seedbeds in March-April and transplant the seedlings when they have developed 2-3 true leaves. Plant the seeds about 2-3 cm deep, keeping a distance of 100-150 cm between plants. Exposure: Requires full sun for at least 6-8 hours a day. Soil: Prefers fertile, deep, well-drained soil with a slightly acidic or neutral pH (6.0-7.0). Watering: Keep the soil constantly moist, especially during flowering and fruiting. Avoid waterlogging. Care: Provide good support for the climbing branches and protect the fruit from direct contact with the ground to prevent rotting. Harvest: The watermelon is ready for harvest when the curl closest to the stem dries out, the point in contact with the ground turns yellow, and the sound it makes when tapping on the rind is dull. This generally occurs between July and September.
