Description
Bring the authentic flavor of Italian tradition to your garden with Valencian Temprana Onion Seeds from Botanis.it! This variety, prized for its early production and superior bulb quality, will give you large, golden onions with an unmistakable flavor. Perfect for enriching every dish in your kitchen, from frittatas to fresh salads, these onions are also extremely easy to grow, ideal for both the experienced horticulturist and the passionate beginner. Characteristics Temprana Variety: Medium-early growing cycle that allows for early harvests. Large and Golden Bulbs: Produces generously sized onions, with an attractive golden skin and a crispy white flesh. Delicate and Aromatic Flavor: Ideal for a wide variety of culinary preparations, both cooked and raw. High Germinability: Our seeds are selected to ensure a robust and uniform birth of the seedlings. Easy to Grow: A rustic and resistant variety, perfect for those approaching the garden for the first time. Non-GMO: Non-genetically modified seeds, for a natural and genuine harvest. Versatile in the Kitchen: Excellent for preserves, sautés, salads, soups and baked dishes. Cultivation The Valencian Temprana Onion is suitable for different types of soil, provided it is well-drained and rich in organic matter. For best results: Sowing: Sow directly in the open field from February to March in central and southern Italy, or in a protected seedbed (for later transplanting) in the north. Maintain a distance of about 10-15 cm between plants and 25-30 cm between rows. Exposure: Prefers full sun for at least 6-8 hours a day. Watering: Requires regular watering, especially during dry periods and during the bulb growth phase. Avoid waterlogging. Soil: Prefers loose, fertile, and well-drained soil. Care: Weed regularly to eliminate weeds that can compete with the young plants. Harvesting: Onions will be ready for harvest when the leaves begin to yellow and dry, curling to the ground. This usually occurs between July and September. Leave the bulbs to dry in the open air for a few days before storing them in a cool, dry place.
